Heartbreak in The Land calls for one last Indians/Cavs related post…
After a gut-wrenching Game 7 against the Chicago Cubs, the Cleveland Indians fell short in adding their first World Series title in 68 years.
Following an exciting two-run HR by Rajai Davis to tie the game in the 8th inning and another near comeback in the 10th, it was the Cubs who emerged with an 8-7 victory in what is already being talked about as one of the best World Series games of all time.
It hurts to bring this tough loss back up, but after everything this ball club conquered by making it all the way to a Game 7 is definitely something to still be proud of.
I don’t know what was worse, though, losing that game or now getting taunted with jab about blowing a 3-1 lead. After a summer in which Cavs fans delighted in rubbing the Warriors’ noses in the 3-1 lead they blew on the way to the Cavs championship, now it’s Cleveland fans who get to hear it.

But hey, we’ll just laugh that one off, right?
What made it easier was hearing that heartfelt message from LeBron reaching out to the Tribe a couple days ago, not only to lift up their heads and show their importance but to also congratulate the Cubs.
“You guys got nothing to hang your heads low about,” James said from the game in a video to Uninterrupted early Thursday. “Use this as inspiration to get ready for next year.”
That’s a bit classier.

Other than the game being as exhilarating as it was to many, what also caught the eyes of many Cleveland fans, like myself, and other viewers was that awesome “Cleveland or Nowhere” t-shirt that LeBron was rocking during game 7.
According to Cleveland.com, the shirt was trending all over social media right after the game with everyone trying to find it.
LeBron certainly wears his pride and manages to sell clothing to all fans like a boss but fans will have to ask themselves if a LeBron-endorsed shirt is worth the $48 price tag at Saks Fifth Avenue for a shirt you could just as easily get made for much less at your the local mall.
“Cleveland or Nowhere” falls into a small collection of shirts from high-end cities like LA, Malibu, Paris, Chicago and New York, certainly putting Cleveland on the map more than it already is.
Looking at the constant support from LeBron, the rest of the Cavaliers team and the city of Cleveland is something that really makes this city stand out from others.
I’m sure glad to call this place home.
